In Washington, American Senator Tim Scott declared on Sunday that he is stepping away from the race for the American presidency, stating that voters have sent a clear message of “not now.”

A senator from South Carolina, who previously vied for the position of the first African American Republican president, grappled with the crowded field in the party’s bustling arena.

According to recent real-clear politics averages, Scott, who garnered only 2.5% of the votes while polling sixth among Republican primary candidates, faced challenges in gaining traction.

“I am suspending my campaign. I believe the voters, who are the most notable on the planet, are genuinely telling me, ‘Not now, Tim,'” he conveyed to the “Sunday Night in America” program on Fox News.

After touring crucial states to gain early momentum in the competition, Scott officially announced his Republican candidacy in May.
